Artist Statement
In my paintings, I attempt to evoke a realistic quality that is true to nature. By incorporating abstract backgrounds and a modernist color palette, this realism is balanced and enhanced. Moreover, in my figurative works, colors are used to personify the energy and emotional state of the subjects.
